therapy for therapists

You deserve support on your own journey, too.

In Scottsdale and Across AZ, CA, & ID

“It’s becoming more difficult to separate my personal and professional lives.”

“I need an outlet for the emotions & experiences I’m holding for others.”

“My own stuff is being activated in my work with clients.”

“I feel lonely and isolated.”

The therapy profession (and the journey to get there) is a unique one.

You chose to become a therapist because you’re passionate about helping others. But what about when that starts to happen at the expense of helping yourself? You spend your days helping your clients process their emotions and experiences, but often don’t have a space to do the same for your own. When challenges arise outside of work, it influences not only your personal life, but often your identity as a clinician as well.

You might be noticing:

  • A sense of disillusionment

  • Overextending yourself personally or professionally (or both)

  • Your own emotions being triggered in session

  • Difficulty with work-life balance

  • Disconnection because no one really understands how this work can impact your life

This work is hard.

It’s okay to reach out for support.

How therapy for therapists works

I feel it’s so important to have support from someone who “gets” the experience of being a therapist—somewhere you don’t have to explain yourself. I work with licensed and pre-licensed clinicians to process their unique experiences in this unique profession.

I’ll meet you where you are today and create a space where you can speak to what’s truly going on without shame or judgment. I’m here to help you move through your challenges in order to achieve real, sustainable change both personally and professionally.

I’m trained in multiple body-based modalities and find this is especially useful in supporting clinicians:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)

  • Brainspotting

  • Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience (DARe)

It’s possible to enjoy your work and your life.

Common questions about therapy for therapists

  • Self-care is so important and if it was easy, you’d already be doing it. I believe it’s important to help you get to the root of what gets in the way of not being able to prioritize yourself. Sometimes we integrate unhelpful messaging about our worth coming from helping people, believing we are selfish to say no, or not knowing who we are outside of our profession.

Let me help you get to the root of what's getting in the way so that you can love what you do and who you are.

  • Working with your body allows you to get to know yourself on a deeper level by merging cognition, emotion, and your somatic experience. This full picture of your experience allows you to experience living life in a fully congruent way.

  • Being a therapist is just a part of who you are. You may be feeling shame that you’re a therapist and you’re struggling with something in your life. This is a place where you can bring your personal and professional struggles and receive support, clarity, and room to process your unknowns.
