  • Yes, I am able to accept insurance and am in-network with Aetna, United Health Care, and Blue Shield.

If I am considered an out-of-network provider with your insurance provider, I can provide you with a SuperBill, if you have a mental health diagnosis, for potential insurance reimbursement. Contact your insurance company directly to inquire about potential reimbursement as I cannot guarantee reimbursement of therapy fees.

  • Yes to both, I offer in person sessions to clients located in Phoenix and online HIPAA compliant video counseling sessions to clients who are located in California, Arizona, and Idaho Monday-Thursday.

  • I offer counseling services to Adults and Couples. Learn more here.

  • If you are interested in working together, email me at TherapyWithRenee@gmail.com

  • New client forms must be filled out before beginning therapy. An email containing this paperwork can be sent to you prior to your first counseling appointment.

  • I return emails, calls, and texts at my earliest convenience, typically Monday-Thursday. If you are having a counseling emergency, call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

  • I require 24 hours notice for all cancellations. Failure to cancel within that time frame results in a charge of your full session fee.

  • Research indicates that therapeutic outcome is most influenced by "goodness of fit" between the client and therapist. My advice is to speak with a prospective therapist by phone first, and trust your gut! Ask yourself: do I feel I can trust this person? Can I open up to them about what is going on? Will I respect their input?

  • What is revealed by you is protected by legal, ethical and professional standards. All material is confidential and not released without your consent except by court order or information related to suspected child abuse, elder abuse, threatened homicide or suicide.

  • You have a right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your mental health care will cost.

  • Ultimately therapy is an investments in yourself AND of course you can get better! I would have the worst job in the world if people didn't. That being said, counseling is a very individual process. Part of the intake process is determining your goals and setting expectations together about how long the therapy process will take.
